The 3” Knelson concentrator was designed in respond to industry demands for a compact model of the industrial unit. In this way the equipment can be used in metallurgy lab to test various gold ore samples to recover precious metals and other fine-grained heavy mineral particles. The laboratory unit has become standard equipment in all state of the art metallurgical laboratories and has been extensively applied in the field as a reliable and accurate method of quickly reducing the volume of heavy mineral samples into very small quantities of highly enriched gold concentrates. The gravimetric concentrates may be sent from the field to the laboratory for further assay.
