Gold Prospecting is an activity very old and the main objective is to locate gold deposits. The trouble frequently arises from the use of terms in a loose way, so that they convey to the hearer a totally different impression from that intended or misapprehension of the meaning of certain facts.

After every new discovery of gold which happens to be of sufficient importance to attract attention from the outside world, there follows as a sort of logical sequence, a certain of series occurrences. In a general way gold prospecting is a science. It has stimulated men of all times to strive more earnestly to solve the problems which relate to the character and structure of the earth’s crust and forces which have produced the structures where gold is. During the past 100 years, the gold prospectors in many countries have labored in season and out of season, trying to unravel the problems relating to gold deposits and they have helped greatly in reaching an intelligent understanding of many formations of gold deposits. This has been carried so far by the geologist and mining engineer that these experts can today do much toward indicating in advantage the entire absence of certain classes of gold deposits from large portions of the earth’s crust, and in the regions where these deposits occur. They can with the aid of a limited amount of exploration go far toward determining the extent and nature and value of many of these gold deposits.

Without any doubt, gold prospector employs several tools, but the traditional has been the gold pan. Basically, gold panning is an activity practiced in many locations around the world since many years ago. One of the countries where began this exciting task was the United States where gold prospecting activities are important. Although, the pan shows most the time gold nuggets, it can indicate where will be deposited or located some special forms of gold such as dust gold. But the most important aspect is that you can see your gold with your own eyes and certainly you are not wasting your time attempting to recover it from black sand concentrates. Even if the claims about the panning instructions are very important, the personal ability to detect gold is particularly true. Some prospectors with little experience or nothing question whether it could still play a useful role in their own mining activities because some locations present special gold deposits and many times can be difficult to find them.
